A man from North Caucasus who is connected with international Jihadist entities was thwarted in his attempt to enter Moldova. Accordion to the press service of the Security and Intelligence Service, the man intended to cross the state border through the checkpoint “Palanca-Maiaki”. He was put on the wanted list for very serious offenses, IPN reports.
As a result of examinations, the investigation officers identified a series of elements that confirmed the radical views of the foreigner, including informational materials that are Islamic extremist in character.
For security reasons, the foreigner was banned from entering Moldova. The person was sent back in accordance with the international procedures and standards.
