Japan donates medical equipment to four Moldovan hospitals

Three medical institutions in Moldova – the district hospitals in Orhei and Rezina and the National Scientific-Practical Center of Reproductive Health, Medical Genetics and Family Planning – will benefit from assistance granted by the Government of Japan within the Kusanone Program, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The assistance contracts were signed on October 26. Japan will donate modern medical equipment, apparatuses for sterilization, ultrasonograph, fibrogastroscope, electrocardiograph, spirograph, cardiomonitor, and veloergometer to the value of US$226,300 to the three hospitals.
Deputy Minister of Health Octavian Grama said the equipment will help improve the services provided by the three medical institutions and contribute to the increased access to services of a high quality.
The agreement on the implementation of the Kusanone Assistance Program was signed in January 2006.
