Iurie Renita named Ambassador to Serbia and Montenegro

Moldova’s Ambassador to Romania Iurie Renita will simultaneously serve as Ambassador to Serbia and Montenegro with residence in Bucharest. A decision to this effect was taken by the Government, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Prime Minister Vlad Filat said that Serbia and Montenegro made significant progress in the European integration process and the Embassy is to learn from the experience of this country so as to contribute to Moldova’s entry into the EU.
Iurie Renita, 52, is a newspaperman by profession. In 1996-1999, he had served as adviser at Moldova’s Embassy in the United States. In 1999, he worked as counselor to Moldovan Foreign Minister Nicolae Tabacaru. Iurie Renita also had served with the OSCE Mission in Croatia in 1999-2003. On June 20, 2010 he was named as Moldova’s Ambassador to Romania.
