Former Prime Minister Iurie Leanca will present the team with which he will built his new political project in several days. The politician made such an announcement after Iulian Groza informed that he resigned from the post of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration and will join Leanca, IPN reports.
“I think it wasn’t easy to take such a decision when holding such a safe position. But he probably understood that the reforms needed to make progress on the path of European integration and to change the quality and quantity of our relations with the EU cannot be promoted with a minority government. If you remember, several months ago we spoke about the submission of the applications for joining the EU and about the fulfillment of a number of commitments. Now I don’t know if somebody still speaks about this,” said Iurie Leanca.
The politician said he is convinced that the team that is now being formed will come not only with criticism, but also with solutions where it is necessary. “We will inform you when we will present the team. This will happen this weekend or at the beginning of next week,” he told the journalists.
Iurie Leanc’s project has been so far joined by former Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Eugen Carpov, Victor Lutenco, who resigned from the post of director of the Bureau for Diaspora Relations, Valeriu Chiveri and Iulian Groza, who both vacated the post of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration.
