Iurie Leanca to meet European officials in Brussels

Acting Prime Minister Iurie Leanca will travel on Wednesday, December 17, to Brussels, where he will meet with several European officials. In the evening, he will have a meeting with Cecilia Malmstrom, European Commissioner for Trade, IPN learned from a press release of the government.

On Thursday, December 18, the Moldovan PM will have separate meetings with Johannes Hahn, European Commissioner for Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, Federica Mogherini, High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Police, and Valdis Dombrovskis, Vice-President of the European Commission.

Iurie Leanca will also meet with the new President of the European Council, Donald Tusk, with whom he will discuss about Moldova's domestic reforms and especially about the progress of the reform of justice, the fight against corruption, decentralization and sustainable economic growth.

Afterwards, the Moldovan official will attend the Summit of the European People's Party. His agenda in Brussels also includes a meeting with Maroš Šefčovič, Vice-President of the European Commission for Energy Union.
