The formation of an electoral bloc by the parties of the government coalition for the November 30 parliamentary elections would be welcome, Prime Minister Iurie Leanca said in the program “Politics” on TV 7 channel, IPN reports.

The Head of Government considers that the ruling parties should compile a joint list of candidates for the elections so as to regain people’s trust. “We faced a political crisis that led to mass disappointment. Now we must show that we are united and that this unity will continue after the elections as we support the country’s European course. The European Union must become a development model for our country,” stated Iurie Leanca.

The Premier added that even if an electoral bloc is not created, the parties of the pro-European coalition should keep their unity in the election period and especially after the elections. He noted that he discussed this issue with his party chief, the leader of the Liberal Democratic Party Vlad Filat, who promised that they will consider such a possibility.

The program’s permanent invitee, political analyst Igor Botan said the compilation of a joint election candidates list of the ruling parties is practically impossible because misunderstandings will appear as to the position in the list, while the Democratic Party already announced that it will form its list of candidates with the people’s assistance.
