As to the PL, we have common objectives concerning the European course. I hope we will be able to calmly discuss the priorities and I will get the PL’s vote and then we could discuss how to transform a minority government into a majority one. We will take the first steps,” he stated, noting that these discussions can start on January 29.

As regards the composition of the Cabinet, Iurie Leanca said changes in it are necessary.

To be invested, the Government needs the votes of at least 51 MPs. The PLDM and PDM, who declared they will vote Iurie Leanca Prime Minister, have together 42 seats of MP.

Within the discussions held by the head of state with the parliamentary groups, Iurie Leanca was proposed for the post of Prime Minister of Moldova by the Liberal Democratic Party, where he occupies the post of first deputy chairman.
