The priorities of the current Government focus on the development of infrastructure, modernization of the health system and the education sector. The Republic of Moldova must become a ‘building site’ for foreign investment and for the citizens who will be able to find employment, Prime Minister Iurie Leanca said in the program “Politics” on TV7 channel, IPN reports.
The Premier stated that the executive must implement the initiated reforms so as to obtain greater openness on the part of foreign investors. In about a month, the country will take out loans of €300 million to rehabilitate the national roads. “At the end of September, we will have to present reports on the created workplaces,” said Iurie Leanca.
According to hum, the Government must start its work by checking the functionality of the state institutions. There will be implemented a complex mechanism for selecting the head of the National Anticorruption Center by contest. “Not only the name counts. This institution should not lose its autonomy. I will not allow interfering in its work,” said the Premier, adding that the Center must treat corruption as s system problem.
As to the Eastern Partnership Summit of Vilnius, the Prime Minister said that the signals given by the European partners reveal that the European Commission shows greater openness. The European officials want to create a comfort area in Moldova, while the chances of signing the Visa Liberalization Agreement with the European Union are significant.
