Prime Minister Iurie Leanca urged the participants in the Nistru war in a meeting to become actively involved in the social life and in promoting the confidence-building measures. For their part, the veterans expressed their conviction that the European integration is the only chance for ensuring the country’s future and reunifying the state. They said they support the Government’s actions, underlining that it is for the first time in the last 22 years that the administration hears them and makes effort to deal with their problems, IPN reports, quoting a communiqué from the Government’s press service.

The Premier called on them to join their activities together so that their proposals are coordinated in all the areas. He assured that the veterans will continue to benefit from the Government’s support, saying that an important role in this process is played by the National Council for problems encountered by participants in armed conflicts.

Iurie Leanca invited the participants to formulae a set of proposals that they would examine together in at most three months.
