The political conjuncture regretfully hasn’t changed because the colleagues from the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) didn’t accept the invitation to take part in the negotiations, the chairman of the European People’s Party Iurie Leanca said after a new round of negotiations on the formation of the ruling alliance, held in the evening of November 10, IPN reports.

“Without the participation of the colleagues from the PLDM, a functional majority coalition and a government with depoliticized institutions are not possible. I know that there are valuable people in the PLDM. We will wait for our colleagues from the PLDM to come so that the discussions on the formation of a pro-European coalition become more concrete. We will continue to work and to formulate commitments in key areas. We now have a last chance and must take it,” stated Leanca.

In the program “Emphasis on today” on TVR Moldova channel, Iurie Leanca said that he will not vote for a coalition that will involve the Party of Communists. “It will be a minority government. We will not vote for a government that will not enjoy political support. The short experience we had showed that a minority government cannot bring about the changes wanted by the people and the European partners,” he stated.
