MP Iurie Bolboceanu said he left the parliamentary group of the Democratic Party (PDM) because he does not agree with the party’s decisions and policy. He told the press that he joined the party in order to bring democracy to Moldova, but he is now disappointed as the party does not fulfill the made promises, IPN reports.
“My views do not coincide with those of the party. That’s why I no longer identify myself with this party. I was too confident. Some believe that I was too romantic,” said Iurie Bolboceanu, adding that he will not make other statements out of respect for his colleagues.
The lawmaker confesses that he wanted to leave the PDM earlier, but postponed his decision as he hoped reforms will take place inside the party. But all in vain. He is disappointed with the Moldovan politics and will leave them when his tenure is over.
Iurie Bolboceanu added that he will continue to promote Moldova’s European course and will vote for bills that will concern this vector.
The PDM now has 15 MPs.
