It’s time for Moldova to consolidate its path towards a European future, U.S. Embassy

The U.S. Embassy notes that following the November 28 elections, now is an important time for Moldova to consolidate its path towards a European future, a future that provides prospects for greater economic growth and prosperity. In a press release quoted by Info-Prim Neo, the Embassy says that the U.S. looks forward to Moldova's leadership working together in the best interests of the people of Moldova, to form an effective and cohesive government that will continue the agenda of democratic reforms and economic stabilization, and maintain progress towards closer relations with the West. The U.S. Embassy welcomes the visits of Foreign Minister Bildt, Foreign Minister Sikorski, and other European officials to Moldova as part of the process of recent intensified dialogue and cooperation between the European Union and the leaders of Moldova. “We join with the European Union in endorsing the continuation of democratic reforms in Moldova, and supporting Moldova's path toward European integration,” reads the press release.
