Italian nature at charity exhibition for children

The charity sale-exhibition “The World Through Photo Camera” focuses on static and live nature photographed in the most famous Italian towns. The third personal exhibition of the Italian artist-photographer and architect Pietro Pensa in Moldova, which aims to help the orphans living in the municipality of Chisinau, was opened at the National Museum of Archeology and History of Moldova on January 27, Info-Prim Neo reports. The exhibit was timed to coincide with the 50th birthday of Pietro Pensa. “Pietro Pensa is a known name in the photographic art,” said Aurelia Cornetski, deputy director of the Museum. “His works were inspired by nature and the man with his creations and worries.” The exhibition comprises 57 photographs of the Italian nature taken in Milan, Venice, Sicily, the Alps, the Apennines. Pietro Pensa said that his photos are not modified. They show nature, landscapes, monuments and people as they are in reality. Asked if Chisinau has changed since his last visit, the artist said that the city changes permanently and that the suburbs remain as beautiful and inspiring as always. “The exhibited works will be sold and the money will be donated to orphans. When the exhibit is over, we will invite 30 orphans to a dinner and will give them toys as presents. Actors of the theater “Licurici” and clowns will entertain them,” said organizer Larisa Mihailo, who is an art critic. Svetlana Chifa, the head of the Chisinau Division for Chidlren's Rights Protection, said it will be for the third time that such an event will be organized for 30 children from all the districts of Chisinau. According to her, there are about 3,500 orphans and children with disabilities in Chisinau. The exhibit will continue until February 15. A photograph costs 200 lei.
