The Head of the first Parliament of Moldova Alexandru Mosanu considers that the Communists Party (PCRM) staged a coup when it intended to prepare a new declaration of independence, a new coat of arms and another state flag. Alexandru Mosanu made the statement during the events held to mark the 20th anniversary of the constitution of the first democratic Parliament, Info-Prim Neo reports. ”On the basis of the Declaration of Independence, Moldova was recognized worldwide. The Declaration showed the wish of hundreds of thousands of people who took part in the national assemblies held since 1988 until 1990,” said the first Speaker. Alexandru Mosanu also said he regrets that the representatives of the PCRM dared to say that a new declaration of independence should be prepared. “The intellectual thieves wrote in the books written by someone else that neither the flag nor the coat of arms is good. They would have destroyed everything if they had remained in power for four years more. This attitude of discrimination and neglecting of the Declaration of Independence was the most serious blow by the PCRM,” Mosanu said. ”The Parliament of the 1990-1994 ensured the transformation of the Moldovan Soviet Socialist Republic, which was a Soviet colony with a totalitarian administration, into the sovereign, independent and democratic state Moldova. If this state is week or strong, we should ask those who came after us, especially the last ones,” said the Head of the first Parliament. The first Parliament of the independent Moldova had worked during 1990-1994. It was composed of 372 MPs.
