Lawyer Ilie Rotaru, who wasn’t admitted to the contest to fill the post of director of the National Anticorruption Center (NAC), is waiting for an official response so that he could challenge it in court. He said he possesses information that the winner of the contest was decided long ago.

In a news conference at IPN, Ilie Rotaru said he has rich experience in law, is a university professor and a master of European law. He also worked as a prosecutor and judge.

Before he filed an application, he already knew that it had been decided who will occupy the post and the fact that he was not admitted to the contest confirmed this hypothesis, especially because his file was taken in the Parliament’s hall by a person who didn’t even check what this contains.

The lawyer noted the contest regulations weren’t made public and the deadline for submissions was extended event if ten applications had been filed by the day the extension decision was taken.

According to Ilie Rotaru, rumors circulate among the persons interested in the contest and these are confirmed by the taken actions. He is eager to see who will be declared winner of the contest and will become NAC director.

The lawyer requested the Parliament Speaker to monitor the contest and see if this is held correctly. He also asked the Prime Minister not to look for a prosecutor general abroad and to entrust the post of acting prosecutor general to him and during two years he could show that he has the training needed for this post.
