Both the government and the opposition are strengthening forces for the decisive battle, which will most probably be given in over 7-8 weeks, journalist Igor Volnitski said in the talk show “Place for dialogue” on Radio Moldova station, IPN reports.
“It is now the calm before the storm. Those who protested realized that something went wrong and they need another strategy. The forces are now being regrouped. Both of the camps are preparing for the last battle,” stated the journalist.
On the other hand, Vasile Costiuc, chairman of the Party “Democracy at Home”, considers the European partners will not allow things in Moldova to seriously degenerate. “They will surely exert great pressure and will insist on the implementation of reforms. But they will not allow the economic system to collapse. This would lead to a civil war, but the EU does not need now a conflict at its borders, especially in the current geopolitical conditions. Most probably, Romania will concede and will give Moldova that loan promised by the Ponta Government,” he stated.
