The Alliance for European Integration’s secrecy about the candidate for the presidency is not normal, representatives of extra-parliamentary parties said in the program “Replica” on Prime TV, Info-Prim Neo reports. “They stage different games and scenarios that were probably planned abroad as well. The intensive searches for a candidate show that they do not aim to choose a competent person for this post, but a puppet that would represent them and promote their interests in continuation,” said the leader of the National Liberal Party Vitalia Pavlichenko. “The non-recognition of this candidate by the people is just defiance. I’m afraid that the people will become even more disappointed when the candidate’s name is made public. That’s why I consider that it is abnormal to keep the name of the candidate secret,” said the chairman of the Republican People’s Party Nicolae Andronic. Deputy head of the Democratic Action Party Corneliu Gurin said the situation in Moldova is similar to that in Germany, which is also looking for a ruler. However, things in Germany are much more transparent and the names of the candidates have been never kept secret from the German people. This is the eighth attempt to elect the head of state. The presidential elections were set for March 16. The deadline for applications is March 12.
