After the initiating of the Association Agreement with the EU, it is important that Moldova ensure political stability in the country, said politologist Victor Juc. The analyst considers that there is no other force that can destroy the government coalition and, together with it, the European integration aspirations, than the disagreements that can appear between the PLDM and PDM, IPN reports.
In a program on Publika TV, the expert said that pressure will be exerted from outside, which will be fueled by the dissatisfaction of the parliamentary and extra-parliamentary opposition, the districts of the territorial administrative unit Gagauzia and the districts from eastern Moldova. “But the current coalition can fall apart only as a result of internal disagreements, when especially the two main protagonists – the PLDM and PDM – will engage again in a conflict of interests,” said the expert.
According to Victor Juc, from the initialing until the signing of the Association Agreement with the EU, there should exist political will and Moldova should respect all the made commitments.
The politologist also said that this agreement raises the political and legal relations between Moldova and the EU to a new stage. The country must show that it is a reliable partner that will not bring surprises.
Moldova initialed the Association Agreement with the EU at the Vilnius EaP Summit of November 28-29. The event was attended by the leaders of the government coalition Vlad Filat, Marian Lupu and Ion Hadarca.
