Israel wins 2018 Eurovision Song Contest

In 2019, the Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Israel. Netta Barzilai won the May 12 final of the contest with the song “Toy”, IPN reports.

Cyprus ranked second, being followed by Austria, Germany, Italy, the Czech Republic, Sweden, Estonia, Denmark and Moldova’s “DoReDoS” that finished tenth with “My Lucky Day”. The song composed by Russian singer Filip Kirkorov gained 209 points - 94 from the jury and 115 from the public.

This year Moldova got 12 points from the Russian jury, 10 points from the juries of Cyprus, Armenia and Greece. The Romanian jury this time offered 12 points to Austria and 7 points to Moldova. Moldova got no point from the Ukrainian jury. The Moldovan jury offered 12 points to Estonia and 10 points to Israel.

During the performance of the British singer, a man mounted the stage, took the singer’s microphone and said something to the public. He was immediately taken away and the singer continued the performance.

The Eurovision Song Contest 2018 took place in Lisbon, Portugal.
