The National Employment Agency is selecting skilled construction workers willing to take jobs in Israel. Under a Moldovan-Israeli agreement, a total of 1,000 workers are to be selected, with 214 candidates already leaving for Israel at the end of 2013.
According to a press release from the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Family, the applicants must be nationals of Moldova, men aged between 25 and 50 years, and have a clear criminal record. Another requirement is that the applicants must have never worked in Israel before and they must not have first-degree relatives already working in this country. The workers must also be physically and medically fit to work in Israel's weather environments and to perform work at height.
Candidates may apply at the territorial employment agencies with jurisdiction in the range of their domicile or actual residence, by presenting an application and a passport copy. The list of applicants will be then sent to the Israeli government to do the selection. The application and selection procedures are done free of charge. The only costs incurred by the already selected candidates are related to medical tests, legal record copy costs, and round-trip airfares.
Application details are available at http://www.anofm.md/Israel. Attempts by third parties to obtain illegal application fees can be reported at the La Strada Center's hotline 0 800 77777 (toll-free in Moldova) or 0 22 23.33.09 (for international calls).
