The trolleybus and bus stations situated at the intersection of Stefan cel Mare Blvd and the streets Ismail and Tighina will be closed. One station will be set up instead of these, in front of UNIC store, IPN reports.
Deputy head of the Chisinau Public Transport and Communications Division Vitalie Butucel, in the March 27 meeting of officials of Chisinau services and divisions, said the decision was taken in a move to ease traffic on Stefan cel Mare Blvd. Currently, traffic jams form there because the vehicles that want to turn right on Ismail St cannot do it owing to the public units of transport that stop nearby.
Vitalie Butucel noted that the station located opposite the street will be extended. The date when the new changes will take effect hasn’t been yet announced.
