Iskra-Stal Rybnitsa won the first victory in the Commonwealth of Independent States and Baltic States Cup that is taking place in Russia’s Saint Petersburg. In the second group match on Sunday, January 16, Moldova’s football vice champion beat Neftci Kyrgyzstan’s team 1-0, Info-Prim Neo reports. The only goal of the match was scored by Alexandru Suciu in the 74th minute. Thus, Iskra-Stal climbed to the second place in the group with four points and has chances of qualifying for the competition’s quarterfinals. In the last match on January 18, the Rybnitsa-based team meet the Azeri squad Inter Baku, which already qualified for the next stage. In the CIS Cup, Iskra-Stal substitute Moldova’s champion Sheriff Tiraspol.
