It is now too early to speak about a political crisis in Moldova. The legal period during which a parliamentary majority can be created and at least one law can be adopted hasn’t been violated. The issue was developed in the talk show “Important” on TVC21 channel, IPN reports.
Politologist Ernest Vardanean gave as example Germany, where the politicians had held talks for almost half a year and these ended successfully. “We experience not a crisis, but a series of unpleasant and unclear situations when they do not say things,” he stated.
Political commentator Corneliu Ciurea said the Constitution provides that the President can dissolve Parliament if this does not adopt any law during three months of its election. “But he can refuse to dissolve Parliament. That’s why these timeframes are approximate and four or five months can pass. That’s why it is too early to speak about a crisis,” he stated, noting some of the commentator say the real negotiations haven’t started, which is the serious players only started to warm up.
Public policy expert Ștefan Gligor said that given the positions adopted by the Party of Socialists and the Bloc ACUM and the fact that no progress is made at present, the probability of a political crisis is rather high.
The Political Council of the Bloc ACUM will meet on April 16 to examine the Party of Socialists’ proposal to form a “parliamentary majority” with a functional government and to take a decision about the subsequent steps.
