The police imposed fines of 450 lei to 750 lei and by three penalty points at the Trolleybus Company No. 3 situated in Ciocana district of Chisinau for the irregularities identified in the exploitation of the units of transport. Two trolleybuses were banned from running for technical reasons, IPN reports.
According to the police, during inspections technical glitches were identified in the gears and braking systems, in the lighting and signaling systems. Those in charge were issued with prescriptions for removing the detected faults within five days.
Contacted by IPN, the director of the Chisinau Electric Transport Company Dorin Chernyi said they started to deal with the identified violations. The damaged tires were replaced today. New windscreens were ordered earlier to replace the fissured ones and these are to be delivered. All the shortcomings will be done away with within five days.
Dorin Chernyi noted the trolleybuses were made in the 1990s and similar vehicles are no longer produced. It is thus hard to find spare parts for them. The parts are ordered and the delivery lasts.
