The independent presidential election candidate Irina Vlah undertakes, if she is elected President, to obtain more advantageous conditions for natural gas supplies. “The cheap gas will allow to reduce tariffs for the population and will revitalize many industrial enterprises, which are large consumers of gas,” Irina Vlah said at a meeting with Gagauz-gaz employees, IPN reports.

At another electoral meeting, the candidate said that Moldova is suffocated by corruption. If she becomes head of state, she will demand that all the corruption cases of recent years should be investigated. And she will insist on the investigaton of natural gas purchases, which she considers dubious.

Irina Vlah promises to support industries with high added value, such as the processing industry and the IT sector. “I will simplify the procedures for renting state spaces for production enterprises and support the opening of small and medium-sized enterprises in rural areas. These are just a few steps that will be taken to rebuild the economy. Moldova can be prosperous,” said the candidate.

During a meeting with locals of Căinarii Vechi village, Irina Vlah pledged to keep all schools and kindergartens open, to create new businesses and jobs. “When I present my electoral program, the people understand that there are concrete objectives that I will achieve as President of Moldova. I very much want the office of President to regain its prestige in the eyes of the citizens. Only through mutual trust between the government and society will we be able to achieve our main goal – the peaceful development of Moldova,” stated the former governor of Gagauzia.

Irina Vlah was invited to the first electoral debate that was to be held on Tuesday at IPN News Agency. Although she agreed to participate in last week’s draw to determine the composition of the electoral debates on the IPN platform, she did not respond to the invitation to attend the debate, invoking her tight electoral agenda.
