Irina Vlah, the leader of the Republican Party "Heart of Moldova", Irina Vlah, today submitted to the Central Electoral Commission the documents for the registration of the initiative group for holding the republican consultative referendum on the international recognition of Moldova's neutrality, IPN reports.
"Today our team came to the CEC to register the initiative group in the composition of 397 people. We have approved the referendum question, and today we have taken another step for the referendum to be held together with the parliamentary elections," Irina Vlah said in a video posted on social media.
Contacted by IPN, the head of the CEC's Communications, Public Relations and Mass Media Department, Rodica Sirbu, confirmed that the set of documents has been submitted. It is to be examined within the deadlines set by law and in accordance with established procedures.
"The Central Electoral Commission will adopt a decision on the registration of the initiative group or on the refusal to register it within 15 days," Rodica Sirbu said.
