Irina Vlah, the founder of the “Moldova Platform”, former Bashkan of the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia, announced that the organization she represents implements a comprehensive mechanism for monitoring the actions of the government and the personal actions of Maia Sandu in terms of security of the Republic of Moldova. Depending on the results of the monitoring, the Platform could proceed to implement an alternative project – the Coalition for Peace, IPN reports, with reference to a press statement distributed by Irina Vlah.
Irina Vlah reminded that 10 days ago, she addressed an open letter to the President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu, through which she drew attention to the people’s concerns expressed by citizens within the “Voice of the People” campaign. “Based on these concerns, I formulated a series of concrete questions to President Maia Sandu, to which she was obliged to answer in her capacity as head of state and supreme commander of the armed forces, if she really respects the citizens,” she explained, noting that the concerns of the citizens with whom she discussed refer to a series of actions taken by the government in the field of national security.
“Maia Sandu chose to keep the citizens in suspense, in fear, continuing to fuel, through her behavior, fears that Moldova could be drawn into games that have nothing to do with the interest of the country, of the citizens... Under these circumstances, we, those from the “Moldova Platform”, declare that we will not abandon the citizens and will not leave them in uncertainty and plagued by fears, as Maia Sandu did. From this moment, the “Moldova Platform” implements an ample mechanism for monitoring the government’s actions and Maia Sandu’s personal actions. The purpose of this monitoring will be to identify all possible dangers to peace arising from the actions of the authorities. We will act promptly to counter them, as required by the interests of the citizens, of the country in general,” stated Irina Vlah.
She also announced that, depending on the results of the monitoring, they will proceed to implement an alternative project – the Coalition for Peace. “This will be a civic instrument that will bring together all those who will want to combine forces to ensure peace in the Republic of Moldova,” the founder of the “Moldova Platform” noted in her statement.
