The Governor of Gagauzia Irina Vlah said that she hadn’t considered the possibility of running in the presidential elections of this autumn. In a news conference, she noted that she wants to continue serving as the Bashkan of the Autonomous Territorial Unit, IPN reports.
“A year ago, the residents of Gagauzia chose me as Governor. I was elected for a four-year term. I will continue to fulfill with pleasure all the promises I made in the election campaign,” stated Irina Vlah.
However, the politician didn’t give a firm negative answer to the insistent questions of reporters.
The presidential elections in Moldova will take place on Octobers 30, 2016.
