Maia Sandu is Moldova’s most trusted politician, according to a poll presented today by the Moldovan Office of the International Republican Institute (IRI). The Moldovan president enjoys the trust of 27% of respondents.
Among political parties, the ruling party PAS continues to enjoy the greatest support, with 36% of respondents saying they support the Action and Solidarity Party.
Asked to name the politician who they trust the most, respondents picked ex-president Igor Dodon in the second place behind Maia Sandu. Speaker Igor Grosu and the Communist Party’s veteran leader Vladimir Voronin share the third and fourth spots, followed by Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița in fifth:
Maia Sandu – 27%
Igor Dodon – 14%
Igor Grosu – 7%
Vladimir Voronin – 7%
Natalia Gavrilița – 5 %.
Measuring voting intention, the poll showed the Action and Solidarity Party in the lead with 36%, followed by the Socialist Party with 14%. The Communist Party and Shor Party come next with 5% and 3%, respectively.
The poll was conducted in September-October 2021.
