Vasile Botnari, former SIS director, is responsible for the "abusive expelling of Turkish citizens from the territory of the Republic of Moldova" and must be held accountable for this, said Prime Minister Maia Sandu on Wednesday. At the beginning of the Government meeting, Maia Sandu, said that, from the obtained information, "there is evidence that these abusive decisions were taken by former SIS director Vasile Botnari and by former deputy director Alexandru Baltag. According to the prime minister, criminal proceedings were instituted in this case, the file being sent to Chisinau prosecutor's office. Maia Sandu called on the prosecutor of Chisinau and the Prosecutor General to ensure that this case is investigated with the utmost seriousness, and those involved are sanctioned.

ACUM bloc wants a prosecutor from another country, but a constituent part of the parliamentary majority does not support the elimination of the requirement regarding the citizenship of the General Prosecutor. "Political reality is what it is." The prime minister said that she would encourage more citizens of Moldova working as prosecutors in countries with a reliable system to apply for the position of prosecutor general. "I wish that prosecutors or people with work experience in Romania, in the United States of America, in other countries of the European Union would apply, as they could quickly set things in motion here," said Maia Sandu.

Mihai Popșoi, PAS group MP, ACUM bloc, became the chairman of the Inquiry Commission for the elucidation of the factual and legal circumstances regarding the unconstitutional coup attempt of the Democratic Party committed via the Constitutional Court and the General Prosecutor's Office. Vasile Bolea, PSRM group MP, was named deputy chair of the commission. The change in the commission management was triggered by the election of Vladimir Țurcan, the former chairman of the commission, as Constitutional Court chair. Sergiu Sîrbu added that this case and the existence of the commission were an attempt to intimidate the opposition and proposed an amendment to change the name of the commission to "the commission for elucidating the circumstances in which the events of June 7-14 occurred", but he did not succeed.

The Government has repealed several decisions regarding the concession process of the Chisinau International Airport, approved between 2012-2013. “These decisions were approved by a resigning government. The Constitutional Court ruled the suspension of government decisions no. 321 of May 30, 2013 and no. 715 of September 12, 2012, based on the provisions of art. 71 paragraph (2) letter. g) of the Constitutional Jurisdiction Code, i.e. the economic or financial security of the state”, explained the Minister of Justice, Olesea Stamate.“in the coming days, the ministry will request the cancellation of the concession contract”, specified prime minister Maia Sandu.

The Superior Council of Prosecutors (CSP) does not support the Justice Ministry's proposal to supplement the Council composition with three more members, because the autonomy of the system and the representation ratio of members are violated. Angela Motuzoc, CSP head, says that the increase in the number of members does not comply with the constitutional provisions. The practice of different countries shows that representatives of civil society do not enter in as large a number as it is proposed in the Republic of Moldova. The Minister of Justice, Olesea Stamate, argues that appointing people of integrity in key positions will ensure: a mechanism for the internal cleansing of justice structures; reducing the number of judges of the Supreme Court of Justice (CSJ) from 33 to 17; the evaluation and testing judges by an independent commission, etc. Nonetheless, constitutional expert Teodor Cîrnaț believes that the current justice reform, as proposed by the new government, has no chance of succeeding. In his opinion, this is because it is proposed by people who do not have the human capacity and the political will to implement it. Public policy expert Ștefan Gligor is also of the opinion that the current reform will not bring results. The opinions were expressed at "Time of Expertise" show on Jurnal TV.

The Council for strategic institutional development of the State University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Nicolae Testemitanu" published the names of the seven participants in the contest for the position of rector of the university: Emil Ceban, Ghenadie Curocichin, Mihail Gavriliuc, Evghenii Guțu, Olga Tagadiuc, Anatolie Vișnevschi and Grigore Zapuhlîh .All candidates are doctors of medical science.

In a press release, CNAS reiterates that as of July 1, according to the legislation amendments, the institution is responsible for establishing, calculating and paying the benefits for temporary work incapacity from the state social insurance budget (BASS), starting with the sixth day. It refers to common illnesses or accidents which are not related to work. The calculation of benefits for temporary work incapacity shall begin as soon as the medical institutions transfer data from the issued medical certificates to the MConnect government platform, to be subsequently received by the National Social Insurance House (CNAS). The specification was made by CNAS, shortly after the announcement of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Social Protection that as of August 28 medical certificates should be sent by doctors to CNAS through the MConnect platform.

The court ruled that the former Head of the imaging and computed tomography department of the Republican Medical Diagnostic Center (CRDM) should pay a fine in the amount of 270 thousand lei, the damage of 1 million and 80 thousand lei caused to CRDM as well as be prohibited to hold management positions for a 12-year term. Also, according to a CNA press release, the court decided on the special confiscation of 1 million 482 thousand lei. According to the materials of the case, between January 2017 - July 2018, the former head of the department collected on constant basis from patients, including those who had medical insurance, amounts of money that varied between 950 and 5 400 lei for tomographic investigations.
