The PAS group MP, ACUM bloc, Dumitru Alaiba, requests the Public Services Agency to issue reasons for the block of the access to the State Register of legal entities. "I would like to emphasize that the name of a company registered in the Republic of Moldova, its administrators, founders and their shares, regardless of their citizenship, fiscal code or legal address, are not personal data", highlighted the MP in his request submitted to the Public Services Agency. The MP explained that the request was issued after he found out that the Public Services Agency has suspended the access of legal entities to the State Register. Previously, legal entities could obtain free extracts with the company name, the tax id code, the names of the founders and the administrator's name. The Public Services Agency claims that the adjournment happened due to the suspension of the Webinfo service

Antimafia People's Movement Political Party will not put forward any candidates for the position of general mayor of Chisinau at the general local elections on October 20. The party's deputy chairwoman, Daniela Bodrug, announced that the party would support a joint candidate of the Unionist forces and called on the Unionist political parties to make efforts to identify him. "The support shall only be valid if the Democratic Party is not admitted in any way to these negotiations," said Daniela Bodrug. Antimafia People's Movement is addressing the Unionist parties, which have already announced their candidates, to withdraw them so as not to hamper the process of identifying a joint candidate. She also said that "due to the unnatural collusion between ACUM Bloc and PSRM, for the first time since the declaration of independence, the mayor of the capital could become a representative of the left, namely the PSRM, a dangerous political organization, funded and run by obscure structures affiliated to the presidential institution of the Russian Federation”.

Ion Ceban, the Socialist Party’s candidate for the capital’s leadership, submitted the documents to Chisinau constituency electoral Council for registration as a candidate. Ion Ceban also ran for the position of mayor of the capital in 2018. At the time Andrei Năstase was elected mayor of the capital, but his mandate was not validated on the account of election campaigning on "Silence Day".

Lawyer Ilie Rotaru recommends that politicians introduce and vote on a bill aimed at amending articles 124 and 125 of the Constitution, in regard to the Prosecutor's Office and prosecutors. According to him, the two articles are "the legal basis of the state power usurpation". The lawyer said that Article 124 regarding the "Duties and structure" of the Prosecutor's Office was copied from the Romanian Constitution. "However, Romanian prosecutors act under the leadership of the minister of justice", highlighted Ilie Rotaru.
According to Ilie Rotaru, "independence of justice" is an expression conveyed in the public space, yet it is not provided in the supreme law. Additionally, there is no clear explanation of what corruption is, says Ilie Rotaru.

The history of the Poles who had to come to Bessarabia was sad at the beginning, but beautiful nonetheless. The statement was made for IPN by Bartlomiej Zdaniuk, Polish Ambassador to Chisinau, present today at the National Library, where "Poles in Bessarabia in the years 1812-1918" work was launched by Anna Skowronek. Ilona Czamanska, PhD, professor at "Adam Mickiewicz" University in Poznań, Poland, who presented the book at the National Library event, told IPN that there were many cultural, economic, personal and even family relations between Poles of those times and Bessarabians. "I want to say that the book talks about the common traditions of the Poles and Bessarabians, which appeared before the 19th century."

The Republic of Moldova is the largest beneficiary of the Association Agreement, and implicitly of the Free Trade Agreement, out of the three signatory countries of the Eastern Partnership. The Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Nicu Popescu, wrote on Facebook, quoted by IPN, that between 2013-2018, the Republic of Moldova benefited from the DCFTA provisions at a 60% level, Ukraine - at 20%, and Georgia - at 9%. "Due to this strategic document, we were able to compensate for the losses in trade with other states and created jobs. If during this period the country had not been corrupt, we would have benefitted even more. But we will benefit more in the future by building Europe at home,” wrote Nicu Popescu.

Chiril Moţpan, chairman of National Security, Defense and Public Order parliamentary committee, says that personal security measures for members and, in particular, chairmen of inquiry parliamentary committees are required. “I don't want to speculate much on this subject. Only fools do not fear. But I will not ask for guards and I will not change my life style. The Committee’s report is in the pipeline and it will be published anyway”, reacted one of the concerned chairmen of the inquiry committees, Alexandru Slusari, also in a network posting.

Journalist Veaceslav Craciun writes from Comrat that Irina Vlah is entering the new season of Gagauz politics with a renewed team and a healthy political landscape, due to being re-elected for the second term as governor with an amazing 92 percent of the votes. In this new context, she should be able to easily solve the issues that seemed unsolvable a few months ago. However, real outcomes will be visible in the autumn. The general local elections in Gagauzia are an important event not only for Irina Vlah, but also for the Socialist Party. During the 2015 campaign, the socialists had a poor performance obtaining only a few mayoral offices. The selection process of PSRM candidates for mayoral offices may be more rigorous this time around. In order to get better results, Irina Vlah could ask candidates who are loyal to her to participate in elections on behalf of PSRM. If successful, it will allow to use the Socialists, to some extent, as a lobbying instrument at the central government level. There are many reasons for this, ranging from the aforementioned working group draft laws to technical issues and even populist initiatives.

In a Facebook post, the President of the Republic of Moldova, Igor Dodon, who was on a one-day visit to Moscow, mentions that the president of "Gazprom", Alexei Miller, is expected in Chișinău on September 20-21, at the second edition of the Moldo-Russian Economic Forum, the Moldovagaz general shareholders meeting and the Moldovan-Russian intergovernmental commission for trade and economic cooperation meeting. Alexei Miller's visit to Chisinau "will contribute to a much more consistent dialogue between the two countries, on the most important issues regarding the economy and energy”, specifies Igor Dodon.

The General Prosecutor's Office has been notified ex officio of the unpleasant odour that persists in the municipality of Chisinau. It was ordered to initiate two criminal cases for the elucidation of the circumstances, the identification of the guilty persons and the eventual recovery of the caused damages. Former Minister of Environment Valeriu Munteanu wrote on Facebook that the problem of the odour arose due to the negligence of the decision-makers from Apa-Canal Chisinau. Another cause would be the previous agreements between the municipal authorities and economic agents, which resulted in the discharge of toxic substances from the technological activity of different companies into the treatment plant, affecting its functioning. The collected sludge reaches the waters of the Bâc river, causing enormous environmental damage.

The couple, Gabriele Goffredo and Anna Matus, obtained a new gold medal for the Moldovan DanceSport. The two reached the first step of the podium in the World Championship Latin, the finals taking place on September 1st in Thailand. "It is the fifth gold medal won at the World DanceSport Championships by the Italian Gabriele Goffredo and the Moldovan Anna Matus, the couple representing the Republic of Moldova at international competitions," Petru Gozun, president of the DanceSport Federation of Moldova and of "Codreanca" DanceSport Club, told IPN.
