The potential candidate of the bloc ACUM DA PAS in the Nisporeni constituency Ion Terguță said the risk of his non-registration as an electoral contender is sufficiently big given that of the over 900 signatures he presented to the district electoral council, approximately 400 were declared invalid after a visual examination.
“We now have 583 valid signatures and the probability or risk of non-registration of my candidacy is sufficiently high,” Ion Terguță stated in the talk show “Expertise hour” on Jurnal TV channel.
The vice president of the Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova said he was reproached for not indicating each locality covered by a mayor’s office where signatures were collected. Another invoked reason was the fact that some of the persons wrote in Romanian, but with Cyrillic script on the list.
Ion Terguță noted he filed an application to the Central Election Commission and demanded to dismiss the head of the district electoral council because, after they submitted the lists with signatures, the photo of a list appeared in the public sphere and this was transmitted to mayors of Nisporeni district. Today, January 16, he will submit complaints to the Prosecutor General’s Office and the Agency for the Protection of Personal Data in connection with this.
Contacted by phone during the program, Ana Buhnea, head of the Nisporeni the district electoral council, said the lists presented by Ion Terguță are safe and the photo was published not by the council she represents. She also said she was requested to provide explanations about this fact over the phone by the Central Election Commission.
