Ex-Premier of the Republic of Moldova Ion Sturza said the Party of Socialists (PSRM) needs a reform and this can be done also by the leaving of Igor Dodon. Igor Dodon had the chance to distinguish himself as a national leader, but lost to some “students”, IPN reports.
“I think the Socialist want a reform. I would recommend them to do it. Moldova needs a party of the left. I think there are persons with correct doctrinaire views inside the party and they are no so involved in this political catastrophe,” Ion Sturza stated in the talk show “Black Box” on TV8 channel.
Businessman Ion Sturza also said that Igor Dodon should withdraw from the PSRM or at least from the party’s administration.
“There are moments when the founders become a problem in the economy and in politics too. When the founders of parties become a problem and do not take a step backward, the party experiences a collapse,” stated the ex-Premier.
Ion Sturza believes Igor Dodon has always been a politician with a low popular approval rating, but a number of circumstances saved him, including internal and external ones.
“He should take a step backward and go and grow strawberries. He proved that he cannot rise to the level of a national political leader who can improve things in this country. He had a unique situation when the whole left was open. I have always believed that he is a politician of 2-3%. He benefitted from our whole left. He was the Russian Federation’s favorite and received incredible resources for his political project and lamentably lost to some “students”.
