Ion Robu appointed as ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to Azerbaijan

The cabinet council appointed on Wednesday, July 5, Ion Robu as ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to Azerbaijan. According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Azerbaijan was inaugurated in November last year, and was transferred from Uzbekistan. Until now the office of diplomatic mission’s head was vacant. According to the same sources, the decision to transfer the Embassy was made due to the intensification of the collaboration relationships with Azerbaijan. Until the spring of 2006, for several years, Ion Robu was the head of the National Securities Commission.
