The suspended police officer Ion Perju, who is accused by prosecutors of murdering Valeriu Boboc in April 2009, said the head of the criminal police division Ruslan Saachian is a very dangerous man who wants to see him behind bars. “Ruslan Saachian intends to take revenge on me because I did not want to fulfill illegal orders on the night of April 8 and before,” Ion Perju told the reporters on Monday, after the judge postponed the hearing to another day, Info-Prim Neo reports. Ion Perju said he will provide more details after he is questioned in the hearing as he has been already intimidated by former colleagues. He asserts he never left his home and never talked with witnesses over the phone, as the prosecutors say. He also said in the next hearing he will present proofs that the man who is shown in the pictures as being kicked in the Great National Assembly Square is not Valeriu Boboc. “We have proofs and photographs proving my innocence,” Ion Perju said. Valeriu Boboc's father Victor Boboc said he is sure the man in the pictures is his son. He voiced hope that those who are to blame for Valeriu's death will be held accountable. “Valeriu harmed no one, but the one who murdered him and those who looked how he was being beaten must answer,” he said. Judge Galina Moscalciuc, of the Buiucani District Court, said the hearing was postponed because the case has not been sent back from the Court of Appeals. The appeal was filed by the prosecution after the Buiucani District Court rejected the request to remand Ion Perju in custody. “It is very strange that the case has not been sent back yet,” said Victor Boboc's lawyer Veaceslav Turcan. Ion Perju is accused of kicking Valeriu Boboc, who died during the April 2009 protests. The next hearing was scheduled for November 9.
