Ion Chicu will not resign as Prime Minister. He said those who will start the process of dismissing the Government should assume responsibility for new governance, IPN reports.
“We will leave when a new Cabinet is appointed. It’s impossible to leave. Surely, you can resign, but the next day you return to the office and check if there is money for paying pensions, for repaying the debts. The situation will worsen. Why should I induce such a fate? Only for slamming the door behind me and answering for everything in several months? Those who will initiate this process should complete it and should name a new Government and assume overall responsibility,” Ion Chicu stated in the talk show “Friday with Anatolie Golea” on RTR Moldova channel.
The official said that those who intend to remove the Government have spoken about this for over two months. They will not head the Government as they are not ready to manage all the problems that accumulated during the last 30 years.
“They have no chance. Their popularity is measured in promises, not in parentage. They had been in power during the last ten years. They want the country to be shrouded in mist. They will not come to govern as the blow is too serious. Currently, they should deal with the crisis,” said Premier Chicu.
As to the accusations made daily against the Government, Ion Chicu said the ministers are working. “The ministers are not visible because this is our strategy. We do not work for PR,” he stated.
