Prime Minister Ion Chicu voiced hope that at least a part of the bank funds stolen in 2014 will reach the state budget this year. “There is great hope in this regard,” said the official, answering the question put by MP of the Shor Party Denis Ulanov during the debates on the no confidence motion, IPN reports.
The answer was given to the question – “How does the Government intend to fill the budget gap?”. Denis Ulanov reminded the Premier that he earlier said that the budget will have to be cut by 4 billion lei if Moldova does not manage to sign the lending agreement with the Russian Federation.
Premier Chicu responded that the negotiations with the Russian Federation on the €200,000 continue. Also, the Government hopes to recover a part of the stolen bank funds.
