Ion Cebanu tenders resignation

The Government accepted the resignation from the post of Minister of Youth and Sport offered by Ion Cebanu, Info-Prim Neo reports. Prime Minister Vlad Filat thanked Ion Cebanu for his performance as a member of the Cabinet, saying he is young and will have many occasions for asserting himself. He wished him success, stressing that the ministers remain ministers even after they complete their terms and contribute to the country’s development through their experience. Mihai Ghimpu, the chairman of the Liberal Party of which Cebanu is a member, confirmed earlier that they were considering naming Ion Cebanu as director of “Moldsilva” Agency. His place at the Ministry of Youth and Sport is to be taken by historian and boxer Octavian Ticu.
