The head of the Socialist group on the Chisinau Municipal Council Ion Ceban said the Party of Socialists does not campaign by the rallies it stages in districts, but consults the people about its electric program and future candidates for the parliamentary elections. He developed the issue in the program “Key issue” on NTV Moldova channel, IPN reports.
“We consult the people to find out their opinion about our structure and our people to see if they meet the criteria existing in society. Furthermore, no one has identified the electoral candidates. We collect opinions and will take them into account when the candidates are chosen,” stated Ion Ceban. According to him, the final decision about the candidates will be adopted by the party’s National Council that will convene later.
Journalist Alexandr Stahurski said the monitoring by the EU will be the most important aspect in the upcoming parliamentary elections. “If we want everything to be fair, we should make sure that the rules of the game are ensured by someone,” he stated.
