The inhabitants of the municipality of Chisinau are dissatisfied with the fact that the authorities decided to seal up the playgrounds. According to parents, it is impossible to keep the children inside homes all day long. For his part, mayor general of Chisinau Ion Ceban says that even if the playgrounds were disinfected, they still pose a threat to the people, IPN reports.
“The playgrounds are anyway disinfected, but not enough as a protection measure. The main argument is that we should exclude crowdedness, the coming together of children close to each other and this is the best protection measure. Stay at home,” Ion Ceban urged in the talk show “Emphasis on today” on TVR Moldova channel.
He noted that the playgrounds were sealed up with special tape, but this was torn up.
“There are playgrounds where the tape was removed for tens of time. We have inventive people who take this tape away and then put it back. This is not right as we should protect our children, ourselves and the environment. This means to maximally avoid crowded places in the municipality, such as the playgrounds and sports grounds,” stated the mayor.
He also spoke about the situation in parks.
“The benches, parks are also disinfected. Huge work was done during the past few days in not at all easy conditions. I call on you to respect the work of these people and their activity. It’s not at all easy. There are special protection measures for them and they work in more difficult conditions than usual,” said Ion Ceban.
On March 16, the authorities decided to seal up all the playgrounds in the capital city.
