The candidate for Chisinau mayoralty of the Party of Socialists (PSRM) Ion Ceban promises to appropriately repair and reconstruct the roads and sidewalks in the city and to independently assess the quality of these works and to extend the number of trolleybuses by 35 units and of buses by 50 units in the municipality, IPN reports.
According to the candidate’s electoral program, even if significant amounts are allocated annually from the municipal budget for rehabilitating roads and sidewalks, these funds are misused. Namely here the largest funds are misappropriated. The goal of the candidate is to present a road rehabilitation plan to the public.
The candidate aims to implement a system for paying online for trips by public transport so as to bring to an end the appropriation of the money collected in public transport as fares. The number of recipients of public transport benefits and compensations will be increased by 10%. About 80,000 persons will benefit from such concessions.
Ion Ceban also promises to start to assembly buses in Chisinau so as to reduce the costs and to annually increase the number of buses, to create new jobs and to later supply new buses to other towns of Moldova and abroad.
The PSRM candidate said that when he is elected mayor, he will work out the concept of multistory parking places at the entrance to the city and downtown and these units would be combined with bus and minibus terminals and shopping centers. The crosswalks will be lit and clearly delimited by road markings. Six underground passages will be repaired and laid out.
