Angela Cutasevici, Inga Ionesi, Ilie Ceban and Victor Chironda are the nominations submitted by the general mayor, Ion Ceban, for the positions of deputy mayors of Chisinau municipality, IPN reports.
Thus, former Secretary of State of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, Angela Cutasevici, is proposed for the position of Deputy Mayor in the social and education field. Councilor Victor Chironda is nominated as deputy mayor on urban planning. Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to Estonia, Inga Ionesi, is put forward as Deputy Mayor in the field of investment and economy, while Ilie Ceban – as Deputy Mayor in the legal field.
Ion Ceban says that he expects the CMC to support these candidates so that they can take office as soon as possible.
Deputy mayors are elected at the proposal of the general mayor by the decision of the Municipal Council, adopted with the vote of the majority of elected councilors. If the draft decision on the election of a deputy mayor is excluded from the agenda of two consecutive meetings or does not meet the required number of votes at two consecutive meetings, the general mayor appoints the deputy mayor by ordinance, which is brought to the notice of the Municipal Council.
