“Everything is legal. Today the debt ratio has decreased and is about 18% for the Chisinau City Hall, the ceiling being 30%,” the mayor of Chisinau Ion Ceban said, commented on the denunciation submitted by the group of the Party of Action Solidarity on the Chisinau Municipal Council to the Prosecutor General’s Office regarding the loans raised by the City Hall, IPN reports.
“To those incompetent persons who formulate and circulate all kinds of statements that do not correspond to reality, with great regret I must tell that it is the most incompetent government that cause the state to have debts of billions of lei. Today the state debt is over 30 billion lei and we don’t yet know what was achieved with those large loans from abroad,” noted the mayor.
As for the municipal budget, the mayor said that everything is transparent and can be easily accessed. “I’m very sorry that the Prosecutor’s Office, the NAC continue to be used as a cudgel against the Chisinau City Hall and City Hall officials,” stated Ion Ceban.
PAS representatives from the Chisinau Municipal Council today filed a denunciation with the Prosecutor General’s Office regarding the loans taken out by the Chisinau City Hall. According to them, the lending took place in breach of the legislation, in the absence of CMC decisions.
