Ion Bulgac competes for the mayoralty of Chisinau on behalf of the Party “Coalition for Unity and Wellbeing” (CUB) which is led by ex-MP Igor Munteanu.
He was born on June 15, 2000 in the municipality of Chisinau. In 2019, he graduated from the Theoretical Lyceum “Ion Creangă”. In 2019-2023, he studied at the Faculty of Law of the Moldova State University. He studies for a master’s degree in public finance and fiscal policy at the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova.
In 2018-2019, he worked as a teacher of music, self-employed/freelancer, while in 2019-2022, he worked as a debate teacher at the private lyceum “Da Vinci”. In January 2022 – February 2023, he was legal education trainer at the public association “Beta Moldova” where he worked as a legal assistant for two years. Since 2019 until present, he has worked as an academic debate and oratory trainer at the public association “Anda Debate” which he headed in 2019-2022.
Since June 2023 until present, he has served as a logistic and distribution director at the public association “Free Action”. Since February 2021, he has headed the Ungheni-based company SRL “Faunus-Vladnic”.
He is one of the founders of the Coalition for Unity and Wellbeing. Since January 2023 until present, he has led the youth organization CUB Junior. In June, he was named the party’s deputy chairman.
For January 1 – December 31, 2022, he declared over 109,000 leis salaries from SRL “Faunus-Vladnic” and 40,000 lei revenues from patent-based teaching activity.
The candidate also declared a non-reimbursable financial assistance contract to the value of about US$40,000 from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova within SRL “Faunus-Vladnic”.
“We are those who look with confidence into the future, while the Republic of Moldova’s future means Romania, the European Union and NATO, means development, wellbeing, progress and unity. We today launch an offer for a generation that has waited for something for 30 years – a generation that never had its candidate and has always been neglected because “it does not vote”. We today start this paradigm change and you will see that this generation will stop leaving and will go to the polls,” Ion Bulgac stated in the event held to present him as a candidate.
As it was decided by draw, Ion Bulgac of the Coalition for Unity and Wellbeing will be next to No. 9 on the ballot.
