The Supreme Council of National Defense of Romania on November 29 approved a medium- and long-term plan of action concerning the relationship between Romania and the Republic of Moldova, Agerpres quoted the Romanian President Klaus Iohannis as saying, IPN reports.
“I said in September (...) and reiterate now that the relationship with the Republic of Moldova is extremely important and this should become better, more pragmatic and predictable. (...) The European integration of the Republic of Moldova is our strategic objective, as it is shown in the plan that we approved today,” Iohannis said at the Cotroceni Palace after the Council’s meeting.
He noted that Romania’s effort will be systemized and concentrated institutionally so that the results are concrete and palpable for the citizens of the Republic of Moldova. He added that an inter-institutional working group will be set up to implement the plan of action, under the coordination of the presidential administration. This will start work in the nearest future.
