The investments made in creating and developing businesses within the PARE 1+1 pilot project on attracting remittances into the economy since last autumn totaled 13 million lei – 8 million lei remittances and 5 million lei allocated as grants from the state budget to founders of companies, whose projects were accepted for financing, director of the Organization for the Development of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises Iulia Iabanji said in a meeting, Info-Prim Neo reports.
A number of 37 companies were created in different settlements of the country during 6-7 months. They employed or intend to employ 1,030 persons. The newly founded companies work in agriculture (beekeeping), food industry, wood working and furniture making, the service sector (auto repair, diagnosis services, hair cutting services, and others).
The Organization for the Development of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises and other partners of the project had about 1,500 consultations. 170 persons attended ten-day training courses in business management. Information campaigns will be organized within the project for persons who returned home after working abroad for several years and for persons who are abroad, but intend to come back.
PARE 1+1 matches 1 leu invested by a Moldovan migrant or his/her1st grade relative coupled with another 1 leu from the state for launching a new private enterprise, or the development of an existing enterprise, especially in rural areas. The state provides at most 200,000 lei per business. The recipients also benefit from post-financing consultancy.
