Children's ombudsman Tamara Plamadeala is requesting the General Prosecutor's Office to react to a case that occurred in Cimislia town three years ago, where a girl became a first-degree invalid after she fell and hit her head against the corner of a table at the kindergarten she was attending, Info-Prim Neo reports. In a press release, Tamara Plamadeala says that the girl's parents put the blame on the educator, who failed to call for an ambulance. It was only 5 or 6 hours after the accident that the girl was driven to a hospital, already in critical condition, by her parents. After two months, the child underwent surgery. She is now 9 years old and has a first-degree invalidity. She suffers from strong headaches and walks with difficulty and only when assisted. The town's education division limited itself to a reprimand issued with respect to the director of the kindergarten, while the district prosecutors' office ended proceedings against the educator, saying it didn't found any criminal element in the case. Yet Tamara Plamadeala is requesting the General Prosecutor's Office to verify the reasons for ending those proceedings and consider reopening the case.
