Public health facilities and education institutions will cooperate with child protection authorities and the police to prevent risks related to the welfare of children. The Cabinet on January 31 approved the relevant instructions, IPN reports.

The document specifies the method of collecting and analyzing data about children’s welfare with a view to preventing risks and, if necessary, intervening promptly.

The persons responsible for the monitoring of children’s welfare will be designated depending on age and the education institution attended by the child. These can be: the family doctor, medical assistant, educator, kindergarten director, class master or school principal.

Periodically, information sheets will be completed for each child. The new mechanism will enable to identify child victims and potential child victims of violence, negligence, exploitation or trafficking. Such an approach covers not only children in classical situations of risk, but all the children.
