International Music Festival “Faces of Friends” held in Cahul

The International Music Festival „Faces of Friends” starts of Friday, June 30, in Cahul. The special guest is the famous guitarist Valeriu Gaina, composer, leader of the famous Soviet band of ‘80-‘90 “Cruiz” (The Cruise). According to sources within the Ministry of Culture, Valeriu Gaina, who lives in USA, will perform for his fans. In the same evening he will meet with the musician Ruslan Taranu, living for 15 years in France. The 7-th edition of the Festival „Faces of Friends” will be held until July 2. The shows will be organized in the Square of Independence in the center of the town. This year „Faces of Friends” includes three stages: young singers’ contest, 20 musicians from Romania, Russia, Ukraine, Lithuania, Belarus, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Georgia and Moldova are registered in, „Jazz Night” and the awarding show on July 2, where the winners of the edition will perform, as well as its guests. The bands „Cezara&shock band”, „Trigon”, and „Edict” also will take part in the festival. Created as a local festival and extended to an international one, this year „Faces of Friends”, celebrates 10 years since its launching.
