The festivities to celebrate the International Children’s Day in Chisinau will be staged on June 2, said mayor Ion Ceban, who noted that the activities cannot be held on June 1 for security reasons related to the European Political Community Summit, IPN reports.
A concert involving singer Iuliana Beregoi will be given in the Park “Alunelul” on June 2.
On the weekend, activities for the public, primarily cultural ones, will be mounted in all the districts of Chisinau, mostly in squares, parks and other public spaces.
The days of June 1 and 2 were declared days off for the public sector employees by the Government and the working program will be extended for a period instead. The critical services will work as usual. The private sector decides independently whether to work or not.
Moldova hosts the European Political Community Summit on June 1. For the first time, it will welcome 50 heads of state and government and high-ranking European officials who will raise key issues related to security, stability and cooperation on the European continent.
